During the summer of 2023, Jake interned with Guthrie Development Company as a Property & Project Management Intern between his junior and senior years at Biola University. In this role, he gained hands-on experience across various facets of the business, including property inspections, administrative operations, service contract management, due diligence for prospective acquisitions, and the preparation of association budgets for upcoming fiscal years.

After graduating magna cum laude from Biola University in May 2024 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, concentrating in Finance, Jake joined Guthrie Development Company full-time. He plays an active role across development, project management, property management, and accounts payable functions. His project management responsibilities include entitlement coordination, capital expenditure and tenant improvement projects, tenant and vendor relations, construction loan draw administration, investor reporting, and support of day-to-day development activities.

While at Biola, Jake completed a variety of business and finance projects that strengthened his analytical, financial, and problem-solving skills. He also earned his California Real Estate Salesperson License in August 2026, further expanding his expertise in the real estate industry.
